Leadership

An Executive Committee manages the Let California Ring campaign and its budget, and provides high-level strategy guidance. The members of the Executive Committee are:

• Roger Doughty, Executive Director, Horizons Foundation
• Matt Foreman, Program Director, Rights, The Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund
• Luis Lopez, Board President, HONOR PAC
• Shannon Minter, Legal Director, National Center for Lesbian Rights 
• Rashad Robinson, Senior Director of Media Programs, Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation
• Cathy Schwamberger, President, Equality California Institute
• Rev. Madison Shockley, Pilgrim United Church of Christ
• Marc Solomon, Marriage Director, Equality California Institute 
• Karin Wang, Vice President of Programs, Asian Pacific American Legal Center 
• Thalia Zepatos,  Director of Public Engagement, Freedom to Marry

Committees on specific topics will make decisions that shape the campaign’s strategy. The new committees will be:

• Messaging Committee
• Committee on Families
• Field Committee

Please contact us if you are with an organization that is interested in becoming a part of the campaign, and let us know if you are interested in joining one of the committees. The Executive Committee will ensure that the committees are manageable in size, and that they contain a diverse array of people with skill or experience in the committee’s specific area and individual or organizational capacity to carry out the work. We will ensure that there is a role to play for everyone who wants to be involved.
