Our Partners
ACLU of Northern California
Our goal is equal treatment and basic respect for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. This means even-handed treatment by government; protection from discrimination in jobs, schools, housing, and public accommodations; and equal rights for same-sex couples and LGBT families.
California Faith for Equality
The mission of California Faith for Equality is to educate, support and mobilize California's faith communities to promote the freedom to marry for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people and to safeguard religious freedom. The California Faith for Equality coalition supports secular LGBT leadership in understanding and in accessing faith communities, and engages clergy, congregations and people of faith, some of whom may not have the support of their denominational bodies, in the movement for equality.
COLAGE
COLAGE is a national movement of people with one or more lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer parents. We build community and work toward social justice through youth empowerment, leadership development, education and advocacy. We believe that access to marriage is an important tool for achieving family equality and justice for children with LGBTQ parents. COLAGE believes it is imperative to broadcast the voices of youth and adults who are directly affected by marriage inequality and attacks on our families’ right to partner recognition and other means of family protection.
Marriage Equality USA
MEUSA is a national, non-profit, grass-roots organization created to secure legally recognized civil marriage equality without regard to gender identity or sexual orientation at the federal and state level. Civil marriage equality is enormously important to same-sex couples and their children and furthermore contributes to the broader LGBTI struggle for respect, basic civil rights and equality. MEUSA’s approach is to develop timely and appropriate education and media campaigns to highlight why marriage equality matters and to provide a human face to this important civil rights and social justice issue. MEUSA provides the training and support to empower and develop leaders within our local communities to be marriage equality advocates in the civil rights movement of our generation.
National Black Justice Coalition
The National Black Justice Coalition is a civil rights organization dedicated to empowering Black same-gender-loving, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. The Coalition works with our communities and our allies for social justice, equality, and an end to racism and homophobia.
National Center for Lesbian Rights
NCLR is a national legal organization committed to advancing the civil and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their families through litigation, public policy advocacy, and public education.
National Gay and Lesbian Task Force
The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force was the first national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights organization and remains the community's uncompromising, progressive voice. We fight for equality and justice by building grassroots power through training, advocacy, organizing and forward-thinking research and expertise. We challenge not only the status quo in mainstream America, but politics as usual within the LGBT community, and we refuse to make political compromises that would leave anyone behind.
PFLAG
PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.
The San Diego LGBT Community Center
The mission of The San Diego LGBT Community Center is to enhance and sustain the health and well-being of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and HIV communities by providing activities, programs, and services that Create community, Empower community members, Provide essential resources, Advocate for civil and human rights, and Embrace, promote and support our cultural diversity.
Trans Equality LA
Equality LA works to develop transgender voices within the freedom to marry movement. This work includes talking to transgender people as well as the general public about how the freedom to marry affects transgender lives. We aim to provide support for allied organizations as they integrate transgender issues into their daily work.
